- The people request that the king grant them by his charter that the justices hold their sessions within the walls of the town as they do at Shrewsbury and Hereford and other towns as they are greatly troubled by the holding of sessions in various parts of the county.1)

- Grant that sessions should be held within the town.2) The bill was granted by the king himself on 2 April, 50 Edward III.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition dates to 1376 as one of the responses which records the king's grant of the request is dated to 2 April, 50 Edw. III (1376). However, the enrolled grant in the patent rolls is dated to 2 April 1377, and it is not clear where the error for the dating lies (CPR 1374-7, p.445).
