Nature of request
The prior and convent request that they can have their annuity from the church of Lythe by virtue of the sentence rendered in the court of Rome, or that they are able to have surety that Bolton will not impeach them in the court of Rome if they pursue execution of judgment rendered in the court of the king concerning the annuity.
Nature of endorsement
Let the petition be given by the chancellor to the justices of the Bench to take the oath of Bolton that he will not sue to the court of Rome or elsewhere anything to disturb the judgment rendered in the king's court on the matter contained in the petition, and the king is to be certified when this has been done.Oath taken by Bolton before the justices at Westminster on Saturday next after the morrow of the Ascension in the 40th year of Edward III under pain of forfeiture.The justices received the oath and ordered the petition into Chancery by Fynchedon, one of the justices, and there it resides in such manner.
