Bestent requests that the king will confirm the judgment of his son, concerning his prisoner Hay and make a writ on it. He pursued his prisoner to Bordeaux before Gaunt who gave his judgment in Bestent's favour but Hay has now appealed before the king and remains imprisoned in Bordeaux Castle until he finds sufficient surety.
