Nature of request
The abbot and convent request the king's grace that they can acquire the land and meadow of Thomas Yne in Shrewsbury that he devised to them in his will and that it be held of the king in chief without impeachment of the king's heirs and ministers. Yne devised the same to his children, but if they should all die without legitimate heirs of their body then he devised that the lands and meadow should come to the abbey.
