Nature of request
The Abbot and convent of Westminster request orders to the Exchequer to allow a sum of £50 owed to them from the Exchequer against the £80 owed by them for the tenths granted by the clergy. They state that all manner of debts owed by them were discharged by letters of 29 August 1394, but that they used to receive £8 per year for the tithe of the farm of Droitwich, and 24 obols of gold, the arrears of which amount to £40.
