The Fauconers request that the council be ordered to provide remedy against the oppressors of the people as they recovered in court certain lands and tenements but when they had a writ to the sheriff of Middlesex to deliver them, Smith and others came by force and arms and assaulted the sheriff and the bailiff and pursued the petitioners so that by these rebels the law could not be executed.
