Nature of request
The petitioners state that the king lately granted to Maud the keeping of the lands of Alan de Buxhull, taken into the king's hands on the death of Buxhull, to hold during the minority of the heir rendering the required farm. However, the king has since granted the manor of Brayneston to Sarnesfeld, rendering nothing, and the petitioners therefore request that the king cancel these letters, and, if he wishes, grant that Sarnesfeld may have the manor, rendering the farm for which they were liable to pay.
