John Gunman states that he was presented to the church of St Wilfred in York, by the patronage of the Abbot of St Mary's, York, but was then ousted by Southwell, who had fraudulently secured a presentation to the church from the king. He requests that Southwell be summoned to show his title, and that the presentation be revoked.
