Stephen le Scrope requests that he retain possession of the manor of Faxfleet, 10 marks of rent in North Dalton and a £20 annuity from Hull, granted originally to his grandfather Geoffrey by Edward III to replace an earlier grant of 200 marks. This is being claimed by Michael de la Pole following the reversal of the earlier sentence of forfeiture against his father, the Earl of Suffolk.

From the context, the petition clearly dates to some point between the reversal of the forfeiture of the Earl of Suffolk at the Shrewsbury session of the 1397-8 parliament (January 1398) and the deposition of Richard II.
