[The right side of this petition is stained and partially illegible.]Thomas Holand, Duke of Surrey and Earl of Kent, requests a grant to Robert Trethewy, prior nominate of the Carthusian house of Mount Grace (newly-founded by the petitioner) and his fellow monks, of the alien priory of Ware with all its appurtenances, in the king's hands on account of the war with France.
