The barons of Sandwich request pardon of a fine of £60 13s 4d imposed upon them in the eyre of Nicholas de la Tour at Canterbury regarding pleas of trespass. According to D. Crook, 'Records of the General Eyre' (London, 1982), p.131, Tower's eyre sat in Canterbury between November 1262 and February 1263. Presumably the petition dates to some point between 1263 and the end of Henry III's reign, and probably to the earlier part of that period.
