Nature of request
The Abbot and Canons of Creake state that Henry III granted them and their church ten pounds of annual rent from the manor of Rothersthorpe, and granted that, should it ever be resumed, the canons would be provided with an exchange to the same value. King Henry resumed this after they had been seised for ten years, without making recompense.

NorfolkThe petition of the abbot and convent of Creake.Coram Rege.They should show their charter, and when it has been seen a response will be given as should be just.Subsequently the charter was seen and it was adjudged before the king that he was to have a writ against the tenant to deraign it against him etc. at the Bench.
