The sheriff of Northumberland makes complaint regarding the mayor, bailiffs and commonalty of Newcastle upon Tyne, stating that whereas he was charged by the recent eyre to distrain the goods of various felons in Newcastle and the rest of the county, armed people from Newcastle have assaulted his officers and taken back the distrained goods.
