Nature of request
Thomas Rempston states that he held certain property in Gedling, but that, while he was in the king's service in France, Robert and Cecily Hawbarogh and Thomas Hurlebatt entered the lands and took away livestock belonging to his tenants, Powe and Andener. The tenants have been unable to have any restitution, and he therefore requests that the council summon Hawbarogh and the others before them to answer these charges.
Nature of endorsement
On 2 November in the second year, at Westminster, it was granted that a writ be sent to Robert, Cecily and Thomas to appear before the council at Westminster at the quindene of Martinmas next concerning this matter, witnessed by the Duke of Gloucester, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Bishop of Winchester, the Chancellor, Treasurer and Keeper of the Privy Seal.
