On 21 January in the king's first year, safe conduct was granted in the requested form for one year, with the proviso that under colour of this safe-conduct they will not bring any goods of the king's enemies into the realm or any other lordship, etc. Proven at the Friars Preachers, the Lords of Gloucester, Winchester, March, London, Tiptoft, the chancellor, treasurer and Keeper of the Privy Seal.

Note
The endorsement is dated 21 January in the king's first year. A note on the guard suggests that this is 1423, and this appears to be confirmed by the details of the endorsement, which is practically identical to that on SC 8/217/10818, also assigned to that year. The composition of the council would also indicate that date.
