Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the guard to c. 1422, with reference to the Earl's capture at Baugé on 22 March 1421. The petition may well date from the time of his captivity, between 1421 and 1426, while the request to the council that they issue the letters may well date it to the minority of Henry VI, rather than the latter months of Henry V's reign.
