Martins requests that whereas the fleet of Bristol, Plymouth and other towns took by force at sea from Disco 21 tuns of olive oil in a barge of the King of Castile called 'St John' and brought them to Dartmouth, that the petitioner may have letters under the King's seal directed to the mayor of Dartmouth and all masters of ships in the fleet which were at sea during October last ordering them to deliver the said oil to the petitioner.

Dated on the guard to late 1403, with reference to CCR 1402-5, p. 203, a 1403 order to deliver the 21 tuns of olive oil illegally taken, or to 1404, with reference to CPR 1401-5, pp. 361 and 437, two 1404 commissions to make restitution and p. 507, a 1404 commission to enquire about Disco's oil as restitution had not been made.
