Danwilt and van Dendorne request that whereas in March last 89 tuns of wine of Poitou belonging to Claymbrouc, Fountaines, le Vassere and Clays, laden in a ship of which Mendre was master, were arrested at Winchelsea by virtue of Erpingham's letters directed to the mayor and bailiffs of Winchelsea, which wine was then stolen by certain privateers on a barge of Romney, of which William was master and Knight was with him, that a serjeant be sent to Romney to cause delivery and restitution to be made to the petitioners.
