Nature of request
Philippa requests that whereas she had in her lordship of Kendal certain shops and rents in Kirkby until recently Colynson, Pierson, Levede, Robertson, Kendal, Sleddale, Sleddale and 200 other evildoers came with force and arms in manner of war and razed the shops to the ground, that writs be sent to each of them ordering that they appear before the council to answer for their actions, on pain of £100.

On 21 May in the third year (1402) the council agreed that writs should be made according to the effect of the petition.
