Tomere requests a commission of oyer and terminer because Roches, in his court held at Bristol on the Tuesday before the feast of St Matthew last, at the suit of Taillour, wrongly condemned the petitioner to £10 12s by the first summons made to him without other process, on which day the petitioner was unable to come because he was imprisoned at Wells.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] The King wishes that Courtenay, Brian and Ashton, all late admirals, should have cognisance of this bill in case of appeal.
