Nature of request
Draper recounts that he and his wife sued in the Common Bench in Gloucestershire against Mattok for lands and tenements in Horton and Yate as the right of his wife. To prevent them from having recovery Winchcombe purchased from Mattok the said lands and tenements, which he greatly wasted and stripped. He also had the petitioner indicted of felony and outlawed, which indictment was found to be false and the outlawry reversed. The petitioner requests that Winchcombe appear before the council to answer for these acts and to redress them and be punished.
