Smeton recounts that he recently came to Cambridge with his horse, clothes, books and other goods, which Baylham and his accomplices took and would not release unless he agreed to give the goods to Baylham. Baylham then forced him to seal various letters, obligations and releases stating that he would never return to Cambridge or prosecute Baylham or his associates. Smeton requests that Baylham be ordered to appear before the council to answer to him, and that justice be done.
