Nature of request
Stephen requests that a writ of scire facias be directed to Langedon to appear before the council with his pledges to answer because, despite making surety of peace to the petitioner and others at the last session held at Launceston before Rikhill, on the Thursday after the feast of St Peter in the cathedral he came into Trevozah and assaulted and beat the petitioner and took 4 oxen and 26 sheep out of his park, and on the Friday before the Invention of the Holy Cross he again assaulted the petitioner and struck him on the head with a great stone nearly killing him, and he continually tries to kill him, so that the petitioner dares not approach his own lands because Langedon, his three brothers and his father are such great disturbers of the peace.
