Nature of request
Curson requests that whereas Hastings granted him a yearly rent of 100 marks for life from his manor of Reydon, which was seized into the Edward III's hand upon Hastings' death because of the minority of his heir, and on 22 January in the 49th year of Edward III (1376) Reydon was granted to the countesses of Norfolk and Pembroke who were to pay Curson the said 100 marks yearly, and they are now 800 marks in arrears, that the countesses provide sufficient guarantee that they will pay Curson his arrears and that they be discharged from this payment.

[On face]: The King has granted this bill on the advice of the council.[On dorse]: Because the King granted this petition as appears within, la Pole, Segrave and Skirlawe have appointed that the petitioner should have justice on 10 March in the 6th year (1383) of a yearly rent of 100 marks from the manor of Reydon. They also agreed that a writ should be made under the great seal to the countesses of Norfolk and Pembroke, then farmers of Reydon, to pay arrears of the said rent to the petitioner since the date of his letters patent from Hastings until the present.
