Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Amyas, Donne, Prat and Walsham request restitution of all the castles, manors, lands and tenements in England and Wales, except the manor of Ashill, of which they were seised by the enfeoffment of Hastings, but which are now in the King's hand because of an agreement between Edward III and Hastings that if Hastings died without an heir the lordships of Pembroke, Cilgerran and Ystlwyf would remain to the King and his heirs forever. It was found by diem clausit extremum in England and Wales that the enfeoffments were true and that Hastings died seised of nothing except Ashill.
