Elizabeth, Joan and Thomas Dudder recount that Ashby was seized of a messuage in Northampton of the feoffment of Buckingham to the use of William Dudder, who charged Ashby to lease the messuage after his death to Elizabeth for her life, and the remainder to Joan and her heirs, and if she died without issue the remainder to Thomas and his heirs forever, which Ashby agreed to do. After William died the petitioners asked Ashby to make the feoffment to them but he would not, and Ashby, at Aleyn's instigation, with force and arms stole from Elizabeth the charters and muniments pertaining to the messuage. The petitioners request that writs be sent to Ashby and Aleyn ordering them to appear before the council to answer why the feoffment was not made to them.
