Bek and Burnham request remedy because they and other merchants of Prussia on the Monday after the feast of St John Baptist in the 8th year of the King's reign (1384) chartered a ship of Danzig, of which Bonycouse was master, to sail to Scotland to sell their merchandises listed in a schedule attached to this petition, and when they unloaded their merchandises at Southampton and paid Bonycouse, he then falsely brought the ship, with the petitioners and their merchandises aboard, to Sluis and delivered them to their enemies who imprisoned them for over a year until they paid £50 ransom.
