Nature of request
Dexter requests that whereas he had possession of land and tenements in Halloughton, purchased from Holt over ten years ago, until the Monday before the feast of St Benedict in the King's 9th year (1386) when Nevill with over 80 armed men ousted him, wrongly disseised him, took his goods and chattels found there worth 200 marks and threatened to kill him, that the armed men be removed from his tenements and that they and Nevill be called before the council so that the evidences of both parties may be heard and remedy ordained for the petitioner.
