Mynges, master of the ship called 'Seint Marie de Grace' of Portugal, and Gunsale, merchant of the same ship, recount that when they were coming as merchants to the port of Southampton with their ship which was laden with 3000 baskets of fruit, which they sold to merchants of London for half-mark per basket, 40 tuns of bastard and Algarve wine which should have been taken to Calais for provisioning the town, and other merchandises, an armed ship of Foxton came there and captured the 'St Marie' while the petitioners were trading in Southampton, because of which the ship was wrecked and its merchandises lost. The petitioners request restitution of their ship and merchandises so lost.
