Datable from internal evidence to early in the reign of Edward III; the guard suggests 1328, but it is uncertain whether this petition precedes or post-dates that in Rot. Parl. Hac. Ined., pp. 193-4, and the reference to a parliament at York could place it any time up to 1335 and shortly thereafter.
