- The prior, as proctor of the abbot of Quarr, has been given a lease on all the property of the abbey in Hampshire in return for a payment into the king's chamber; but the bailiffs of Southampton are disputing a payment that they ought to make to him for a property in the town included as part of this lease; and he prays remedy.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated tentatively on the guard by reference to SC 8/13/634 (Rot. Parl., vol. II, p. 188; PROME, parliament of January 1348, Appendix no. 55). The two petitions are not directly related, but the content of SC 8/206/10262 (including the reference to a payment into the king's chamber) does suggest a date around 1350.
