Nature of request
Writ of Edward II to the escheator commanding him sicut alias to enquire of the disseisin of Catfield of the manor of Badingham before Latimer who had sued the matter for the king, and to send the inquisition to the king.1)
Nature of endorsement
The council is advised that justice ought to be done to him, so he should sue in Chancery for a remedy.2) I am forbidden on behalf of the king by Despenser from executing this writ without first consulting the king.
