Nature of request
Catefeld requests a remedy be ordained as he was jointly seised of the manor of Badingham with Bovylle but Rungeton wishing to buy the manor for his own use procured the sub-escheator to take the manor into the king's hand after the death of Bovyll without warrant supposing that Bovyll was seised of the manor to his own use. Rubgeton then purchased a writ of diem clausit extremum and ensured the jury was of his affinity so that Catefeld's joint tenure in the manor was ignored. Catefeld has sued a writ of the Exchequer to enquire of his estate but the escheator has ignored this and a sicut alias and answered the sicut plures inadequately so that Catefeld can have no execution.1)
