Nature of request
Writ of Edward II to Kilvington commanding him to certify the manner and cause of the taking of the forest of Nidderdale into the king's hand.
Nature of endorsement
Burgh seized the forest of Nidderdale and the chace of Middlesmoor that were John de Mowbray's into the king's hand because he was given to understand that the chase was the right of Mowbray. Burgh by writ of the king delivered it to Kilvington and the forest and chace remain in the king's hand.
