Nature of request
Copy of a final concord made at Westminster before Thurkelby between the abbot and Roger de Mowbray whereby Mowbray acknowledges the forest of Middlesmoor is the right of the abbot and his church as that which the abbot's predecessors had of gift of Mowbray's father. To hold with rights to assart and build, saving Mowbray's rights to hunt in the same.
Nature of endorsement
They should show the fine in Chancery, and let the king be certified of the manner and cause of the impediment, and if it be necessary the truth of the matter should be enquired of, and let justice be done.
