Nature of request
The abbot and convent as they have had and used the liberty of the chase of Middlesmoor, and have had a forester to keep the venison with the forester of the lords of Mowbray according to a fine made in the king's court, and they were peaceably seised of this until the death of John de Mowbray by whose forfeiture the forest has come into the king's hand and they are disturbed by Cardel and Kilvington, the king's bailiffs and keepers of the forest.
