[The document is composite, the first part of the face of the document listing the names of those other individuals who attacked William de Braose's knights and ministers. This is then followed by a request, which is struck through. On the dorse another request is made replacing that which is struck through on the face].
Nature of endorsement
Brewose requests Mortimer, Philip ap Howel and Rees ap Howel be assigned justices to enquire of the trespasses made against the king's peace to Brewose and his people of Gower. Those found guilty should be arrested and kept safely and the inquisition be returned to court and that Brewose be certified so he knows which writ to purchase.
