Nature of request
Robert de Marny states that the King's father owed him £15 7s 3d for wages and loans for the garrison of Bourg-sur-mer in Gascony during the war, and that he had a writ of liberate from the time of the King's father for this, but that nothing was ever done. He asks that this writ might be exchanged for one to the present Treasurer and Chamberlains to pay him and to discharge the late King.
Nature of endorsement
He is to show the King's letter patent to the Chancellor, and he will give him a new writ of liberate to the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer.
