Nature of request
Ellis de Claremon, esquire, of Gascony, of the company and household of Raymond Bernard de Marmande, states that he has served the King in his present war in Gascony, and that because of this the French have taken his lands, rents and tenements, and also his movable goods and chattels. He requests compensation for his losses so that he can continue to serve the King.
Nature of endorsement
The King will inform himself about his behaviour, and about the losses and damages that he has sustained, and he will have such consideration for this at his coming into Gascony that he should reasonably consider himself satisfied.
