Nature of request
John de Sandale states that the King granted him two-thirds of the manor of Barrowby, which belonged to Stephen Pesschon, a Scot who died against the King and whose children are under age, and that he had paid everything beforehand for seven years, of which five are still to run; but that the King has now had a dower assigned to Stephen's widow, which amounts to £4 11s. He requests a writ to the Escheator to assign him a similar amount elsewhere for his term.

The King wishes Walter de Gloucester, the King's Escheator beyond Trent, to be ordered to have an assignment made elsewhere to the said John for the same amount and value.
