Nature of request
Richard de Eyton states that Edward I owed him £9 4s sterling, for money lent to the good people of Blaye in Gascony during the war, and that he had a writ of liberate from the time of the late king for this, for which he has had no payment. He asks that this might be exchanged for one to the present Treasurer and Chamberlains, so that he might be paid and the soul of the late king discharged.
Nature of endorsement
He is to show the King's letter patent to the Chancellor, and he will make him a new writ of liberate to the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer.
