[This petition is damaged and incomplete.]James de Bennedenne, speaking on behalf of himself and for the community of the land, complains that because attaints in cases of trespass are quashed by non-suit, this has led to false imprisonements and other malicious obstructions in such cases. He asks that such attaints might not be quashed by non-suit, and that while the writs are pending the plaintiffs might be released on mainprise.
