Nature of request
Adam de Sulyngton states that he was taken in the quarrel of the Earl of Lancaster and imprisoned in Tickhill castle, and ordered to pay a redemption of 1000 marks to the King and 100 to the Queen. Of this 1000 marks the King pardoned him half and he has paid 262 and a half marks, and 25 marks to the Queen. He requests a pardon for the remainder.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to Chancery, and if the fine or redemption mentioned in the bill was made in Chancery because of the quarrel, it is to be annulled there, and if elsewhere, orders are to be given to annul it, and the Treasurer and Barons etc. are also to be ordered to annul them there.
