Nature of request
The petitioner requests that Hugh de Guanandun be granted the seneschalcy of the Landes following the recent death of the seneschal, on account of his great losses in the king's service in Gascony.
Nature of endorsement
Order the seneschal and constable to certify whether the seneschalcy is void, and of the wages and value, and whether the request should be made on these conditions, and then the king will give his will.
