Fucher de Montardit, esquire, of Gascony, of the company and household of Raymond Bernard de Marmande, states that he has served the king well and loyally in his war in Gascony, and that because of that the French have seized his lands, rents and tenements in Gascony. He requests compensation for his losses.
Nature of endorsement
The King will inform himself of his conduct and of the losses and damages which he has sustained, and he will have such consideration for this on his coming into Gascony that he should reasonably consider himself satisfied.
