Nature of request
The Prior of Great Malvern, which is a cell of Westminster Abbey, states that a dispute between the Bishop of Worcester and the Abbot of Westminster about a visitation of Great Malvern was referred to the king, and then to certain members of his council for arbitration; and an agreement was reached that the prior was to give the bishop and his successors the manor of Knightwick, and that in return the bishop was to renounce his claim to rights of visitation. He was to have this confirmed by his chapter of Worcester, but he has not done so, although he is in possession of the manor. The prior asks that this confirmation might be given, or that he might have the manor back.
