Abbot of Cirencester
Nature of request
The Abbot of Cirencester states that he holds the church of Bray in the Forest of Windsor in pure and perpetual alms, and that the Prioress of Broomhall has made an assart within the bounds of the parish. The Abbot of Waltham claims a right in the tithes of half of this assart and the Dean and chapter of Salisbury in the other, although, as it is in his parish, the tithes belong to him. He also states that he had seisin of these tithes until he was disturbed by the King's ministers. He requests an inquiry, and that he might have grace and justice.
