Clavering to Bute, partly in cipher: the landgrave's council is debating whether he should send a representative to the court of Denmark about the recovery of Hanau. The king of France has given de Broglie 100,000 livres for his defence of Cassel. He encloses a copy of an extract from a letter from Stockholm [SP 87/42/127] and a protocol [SP 87/42/128].
