Description

Transmits report, together with judge's notes and other related material, on case of person called Bob [second name not given], who was sentenced to transportation for sheep stealing in Grenada in July 1834, and whose case Secretary of State has asked for information in his despatch No 6, of July 1835; 'Bob was sent to England, on his way to New South Wales, when he arrived, a person called Mr Lamb presented a memorial in his favour alleging that the sentence was illegal and it was unduly severe; reference to slavery; petition from Victor La Barrie, during years of slavery the 'owner' of Bob.
