Plaintiffs: Thomas William Rutledge alias Thomas William Compton of Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, Elizabeth Rutledge alias Elizabeth Compton of High Street, Marlebone, Middlesex, spinster and Henry Rutledge alias Henry Compton of High Street, Marylebone, gent (natural children, devisees and legatees of John Compton late of St Marylebone and Ann Rutledge alias Ann Compton) and John William Keith Mackennalhe of South Sea Chambers, Threadneedle Street, London, merchant.
Defendants: John Ward (cousin of John Compton), Augusta Caroline Compton (niece and heir at law of John Compton) and Sarah Compton (widow of John Compton, from whom he had been legally separated for some years)
